Referrers, Keywords and Search Engines tracking

One of the most useful features of ExpertoMarketing is the possibility to track visitors sent to your site by other sites or search engines (the referrers). ExpertoMarketing will track all these referrers automatically (along with the keywords used to find you in the case of search engines) ; the results are then presented in different formats:

  1. Referrers summary : this listing shows the cumulative number of visits from all the referrers that have sent traffic to your site during the current month. Previous months data is available from the archive bar above the report

    Tenga en cuenta que puede reagrupar varios referentes similares bajo un nombre común. Por ejemplo, si recibe visitantes de Google.co.uk, quizás ssólo quiera ver el total y reagrupar todos los referentes bajo el nombre de 'Google'. Para hacer esto, simplemente haga click en 'grupo de referentes' en el menu que está encima de informe. Los referentes agrupados pueden aparecer en informes consecutivos o en un link expandible que le permitirá ver todos los referentes individualmente.

  2. Search Engine and Referrer Tracker: this graph shows how many visitors were sent to your site each week by each one of your referrers. It is extremely helpful to detect any drop or increase in traffic from a particular referrer and to check the validity of your referencing/marketing strategy.

    Tenga en cuenta que tiene varias opciones en el gráfico:

    • seleccionar el número de semanas para el cual desea ver los resultados
    • haga clic en referente para ocultarlo.
    • Al hacer clic en referentes sucesivos puede hacer zoom en la parte inferior de la gráfica, según sea necesario
    • the graph will 'remember' your settings for the next time you display it

    Como en el informe de referidos, puede reagrupar referentes similares bajo un nombre común. Por ejemplo, si recibe visitantes de Google.es y Google.com, puede reagrupar todos sus resultados bajo el nombre de 'Google'. Para lograr esto, simplemente haga click en el'grupo de referidos' en la barra de menu encima del informe.

  3. Recent referrals : this is a detailed list of the last 100, 500 or 1000 referrals to your site ; in the case of search engines, we will also display the keywords used to find you. Note that some search engines have directory sections in which the visitor does a search without entering keywords (the visitor navigates the directories until he finds the information that he is looking for). In this case, the 'keywords' column will remain blank. An interesting feature of this listing is the possibility to simulate the search that led to your site simply by clicking on the referrer in the 'Referrer' column.

  4. Res. Palabras claves: this page lists the keywords that people use to find your site in the search engines during the current month. Previous months data is available from the archive bar above the report. You can choose to display the keywords ranked by frequency of use (regardless of the search engine), or by search engine and frequency of use.

Notas importantes:

  • Referrers and keywords detection will not work if you are using the simplified version of the ExpertoMarketing code. The standard or advanced version is required.

  • Si piensa que el referente y el seguimiento de palabras claves no funciona correctamente (por ejemplo, si todos los referentes y palabras clave aparecen en blanco), por favor, lea este documento de solución de problemas.
